Enjoying our walk with reindeer near Faribanks, Alaska, Feb., 2012, taken by Harry.
Harry took this of me to show scale, and because he knows how much I love polar bears. This is a multiblock sculpture. As we were leaving, a lady placed a blue color gel over the light behind it.
I wanted to illustrate the scale of the individual blocks of ice that are carved at the International Ice Sculpture contest held in Fairbanks, Alaska, every February to March. This was taken by my husband, Harry, near where the ice is harvested.
