Fairbanks, Alaska 2009 World Ice Art Championships : This is the 2009 World Ice Art Championship held in Fairbanks, Alaska. Artist from all over the world come to Fairbanks and compete in several catagories of ice sculpture. For more information on the annual event you can go to www.icealaska.com and learn about the competitors and the overall event as well.

Some of these photo's do not give some of the sculptures true justice in respect to the size of the pieces. The only way to get a real feel for this event is to go there and see it first hand.

Alaska Iditarod 2009 : These are just a few of the photo's I took during this years run of the Iditarod restart in Willow Alaska on March 7, 2009.
This event is truly amazing fro both musher and dogs and the whole time I was taking pictures all I could think about was, these teams have over 1150 miles yet to go. This is truly a spectacular event and if one ever gets the chance to see it in person you will never forget it.

Blk and Wht from around the World : These are images that I took while spending some time in the Middle East over a period of four years. Even though the original image was in color, I really felt that black and white seem to fit some of the images. Most of the images with children where taken in Pakistan at a Afghanistan refugee camp out side of Islamabad. Despite the living conditions of these people, the smiles on their faces seem to tell a different story. Enjoy and thanks for stopping by.
